I think my favourite bit of my teaching role is working with students on their projects

My research is in 3D printing and ÌÇÐÄVlog has a really great history in manufacturing so in many ways it feels like a really natural home for this type of research.

One of the best things about the university is there's all manner of people doing really cool research in areas that relate to manufacturing in some way. So pretty much every week there's someone else you run into who's doing something cool that might translate, and might be a really nice area to work together on.

I'm really lucky in that I get to teach quite a variety of different things. So I teach about 3D printing, I get to work with project students on a really nice interesting range of different projects and I also get to do a bit of teaching to do with diversity and inclusion, so it's a very varied teaching role.

I think my favourite bit of my teaching role is working with students on their projects. It's much more of an active discussion between the two of us and quite often it's the case that we learn things from our students as well during those conversations and I find that really exciting.

Candice was interviewed in February 2025.
